- Benefits Account Manager

- BASIC FUNCTION:
- Efficiently manage and direct renewal / service processes between Producer / Team and Client to maintain and nurture new and existing relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Management of account cycle timeline
- Preparation of accounts both new and renewal
- Coordinate and facilitate the renewal of small and large group clients
- Attend/coordinate open enrollment meetings as needed
- Prepare in-house enrollment materials for open enrollment
- Complete post enrollment administrative work
- Servicing liaison between producer/client/carrier
- Assist producers as needed by responding to service needs of clients
- Provide responses and problem resolution to clients regarding enrollment, ID cards, checking enrollment and answering coverage questions
- Educate enrollees regarding benefit plans, coverage, co-pays, co-insurance and deductibles
- Foster strong and lasting relationships with clients to assist in account retention.
- Prepare compliance documents
- Prepare benefit guides
- Complete Audits as needed
- Access and Utilize Carrier and TPA Websites
- Use of Agency Management System (EPIC) to manage client details, renew policies, maintain service history
- Maintain familiarity with trends in the industry as well as new insurance products
- Tuesday Morning Meeting attendance
- Weekly Team Meeting Attendance
- Helping others when needed
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Ability to build and maintain relationships with client while delivering exceptional customer service
- Active Life and Health license
- Understanding of renewal process and servicing protocols
- Intermediate/advanced proficiency level of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Organized/detail oriented/problem solver
- Proficiency w/EPIC (preferred)
- Solid communication skills (written and verbal)
- 3-5 years’ experience as a Benefits Account Manager
